Record in Fraps? File too big?
« on: July 11, 2007, 10:21:32 AM »
When you are done recording your Fraps or Taksi (the Fraps knock-off I showed you guys a while ago), you'll notice you have a large, uncompressed AVI file that is easily a few hundred megabyes.  The solution? SUPER.

SUPER is a freeware multimedia conversion tool that convert AVI's to smaller, more compressed files, such as wmv.

SUPPER (here is a download link: http://updat4.free.fr/A9A272829C61A6A9D86B50FF/SUPERsetup.exe  and if that link doesn't work, click "SUPER setup files" on this page http://www.erightsoft.com/S6Kg1.html)

I know the site looks really, really fishy/phishy, but it's very legit.

Thanks to ViciouZ for link.

get something that converts avi to mp4, as mp4 is very compressed compared to the avi or wmv files.

I've been using "super" for converting flv (youtube) to mp4/3pg. Pretty neat.

It works for pretty much any filetype, and if you choose auto, you can do it to the right settings for ipod/psp/dvd etc...
