That 'ice' texture
« on: July 05, 2007, 11:32:12 PM »
Okay, for the record, the map I'm talking about in this map won't be released (my maps aren't that good yet), I use them to play LAN matches with my mates, but I'm stuck trying to find that 'ice' texture that's in the jail in nhb and in the middle in... I think it's one of the propaint maps.

I only have the default textures (the ones that come with the download off the site), so, is there something I need to do to them, or must I find it elsewhere?

don't recall of the top of my head, but is it switzsnowfull.jpg?

edit:
propaint ice is a metal texture... nhb looks like glass

the texture doesnt make it slippery its a flag or sumthin . click the brush you want to slippery then hit 's' and the check the slick box and you will have a slippery brush. i think thats what you wanted to know, i may be wrong.

Rather than making a whole new topic, I though I'd just repost here;
A two part question:
1) I know you can custom sounds to maps, is it possible to use .wav files?
2) If yes, how do I set it up to make the sound play at the start of the round (like the "What time is it? Dodgeball time!" sound effect)?

You can't time anything to rounds. You can get the sounds to play every x+random seconds, or when a player enters an area, but that's about it.

You can play wav files with a target_speaker, however there is currently no round start trigger, so you couldn't make the sounds play at the round start.
