1st Resize your screenshots next time or now.

2nd This map looks like grave with different textures.

3rd Looks like poor texture choices.

4th Attach the file to your post.


5th Rename the map to churches_b1.

w00t for my double post!

So I went through the map real quick and made a small demo for you.

In my opinion this is a poor attempt at a map. You just took grave and fudged it up and made it ctf. If you were to redo this like grave with a nice mid I may reconsider my opinion.

The one good thing about this map is that it has nice low r_speeds as you can see in the demo.

Note: I'm sorry if my demo isn't up to the quality of jitspoe's. :D

Um no. It looks like crap. Also I didn't see any secret walls or corridors.

Also there is a huge advantage for the blue team (I think) you a spawn an autococker and an automag in the one base while all you have in the other are traccers, stingrays, and a VM-68.

I recommend putting more detail into the architecture, try and make it as feasible as possible for example, why is the roof made of stones, and even worse - what keeps it from caving in?

Also - most of your textures are unaligned and need rotated.

Also you're lighting doesn't feel correct, here is my take from a few months ago on how a church map should be lit.  (Also note the architecture, texture choices, etc.)

haha ok a few points:

- This map is completely unreleasable, its almost as bad as the real Grave (OLE!).
- It appears to be unlit.
- The textures are all wrong. The selection is boring and often just plain wrong for the task.
- The architecture is deranged, why on earth are their massive holes in the roof? it doesn't even look like a church!
- A huge number of misaligned brushes. eg, the logo's on the outside of the churches float.
- For some reason the top of the back walls are mist brushes.
- the scaling of your pews and stuff is all wrong.
- guns on each side are unbalanced.
- you have an invalid field on the spawns for autocockers.
- you didn't ask if you could remake Grave.

and y00tz, your church makes my eyes fall out. I <3 U.

I don't have any tips just comments.Look at your map!It's like another grave, like dagless said did you even ask if you could make another grave?Well a better name for it (if you get permission to make a second one) is grave2 instead of churches.

1.  I didn't post the map to show off CTP textures, I was showing the OP what I was expecting from a church themed map.
2.  That map has current CTP1 textures
3.  This thread has nothing to do with that map (y_crypts, unreleased)
