Its Ok. I hear that Office '07 sucks anyway. :P

That is so true. Office 07 really sucks, mainly because it is exactly like a vista setup. I wish I didn't upgrade!

It's only a trial-version. They hide it so meddling nicely. Good job microsoft.

I'm not convinced.. the mention of a trial is unrelated to the perpetual license until later...
Eligible students may have free access to Microsoft® Office Ultimate 2007 Trial for a limited amount of time.

...

Eligible students can convert their Microsoft Office Ultimate 2007 Trial to the perpetual license by returning to Promotion website prior to the Promotion deadline and purchasing the relevant product key.

Also, on the United Kingom web-site (looks like it IS available for other countries), It has "Use it for one year." and a price, then "Own it!" and it's about 38 pounds...

I'm convinced it's the real deal...

I just wish that openoffice wasn't java-based. It's incredibly slow (to start up) and bloated. Just starting it writer up takes up 35MB of memory, whereas ABIword takes up 9.

I only use OOo for power point and spreadsheet stuff cuz Abiword doesn't have that. But yea, OOo does start up a bit slow.

OpenOffice is written in C++ actually, but it does use a hefty lot of Java thrown in occasionally. Arrgh, I hate Java.
