I appreciate all the message reports from the spam, thanks. However, lately there have been more reports than actual spam, flooding my messages and it makes it harder to quickly get rid of spam.
Here's a run-down on what's going on. There is a bot/script that is posting in the same 13 threads. I have locked 12 of the threads, with the exception of the Name Change Request thread for obvious reasons. The bot is timed in some fashion and all the spam comes at once.
As of right now only one thread is being affected. KnacK and myself DO NOT have the ability to ban guests as of this point so the matter will have to be handled by Jitspoe.
(I believe he has a log he checks for IPs, since SMF doesn't make them readily available to mods like it does for regular users)
In the mean time, the spam will happen, and we've been very good about clearing so far (I've deleted over 100 messages today alone.)
