crazy plane

i was coming home On he plane today and the plane started shaking so all theses chinines people started screaming i thought i was gonna die.

Sounds like fun -- just turbulence or was there some kind of fault in the plane?  I don't get much excitement when I fly.

I was told be a pilot sitting next to me in as calm as could be voice (in a horrific/cross-grabbing/prayer-time turbulence) "Imagine that for every 1-3 seconds  sensation  of falling and rising is like falling or ascending is equal to several hundred feet per sec . Not at all consoling. I guess when you know the physics involved you should be more apt to enjoy.
