I can't 'alt + tab' or 'ctrl + esc'

I can't even get the window key to bring up the start menu, even though all keys are functioning normal (ctrl + tab works fine in FF)

Any ideas to what I may have done to do this?  It's annoying I just got a bargain game Kohan II and I can't switch to see chat at all...

Open up regedit and check teh value of coolswitch:

Hive: HKEY_CURRENT_USER
Key: Control Panel\Desktop
Name: Coolswitch
Type: REG_SZ
Value: 1 enable switching
Value: 0 disable switching

The windows key doesn't work either now.  XP by the way.

Sorry, thought I mentioned that, yes I can do Ctrl + Alt + Del, and Alt + F4, am I thinking of something else or should I be able to do a Alt Ctrl Shift and Alt Shift Esc? I can't but thought I could.

Weird, I can't do simple stuff like Windows Key + L (lock desktop)
