Bug: Crashing for no reason, plus a certain error message

Lately my DP has been crashing a lot. it seems like there's no reason for it, but i have also noticed a particular error message that's been coming up that may or may not be related. This error message does not terminate the program.

Exception calling GetWMI()

Exception calling GetWMI()

8 times, just like that. everytime.
shows up randomly in the console, and the game doesn't crash right after it. sometimes it doesn't crash at all. so i don't know if this is related to the crashing or not.

i have noticed that xfire detects the crash and wants to send an error report. does this mean the crashing problem could involve xfire, or not? i mean, xfire itself doesn't crash..

Have you recently installed any new drivers?  Printer, router, video card, etc...

The crash does not involve xfire.  It just catches crashes for whatever reason.  Which version of windows are you running?  Do you have administrator rights?

yep i have admin rights, and it's XP home.
i did try that link Herron posted too. results attached.

and what's it supposed to do?
it just sits there with its big black console self, and does nothing.

It's supposed to report back some info gathered via WMI.  Sounds like either you have something screwy with your windows configuration or I'm not accounting for something.

Have you rebooted recently?

That's more like it.  Have you tried paintball2 now?  Does it still have the error?
