How to insert textes

Hey guys,
at the moment I'm making a nice map. I think the idea is good, but the details are bad. How can I insert some textes like in "grave", the names on the graves?
Can u help me? Here is my notfinished map: http://steingolem.st.funpic.de/confused.bsp

wow, tiny map.

The best way to do text is to create new textures.  The way it was done in grave was by making lots of tiny little brushes.  This is not a very good way to do it.  It looks bad and wastes polygons.
