Use func_plat.  There's an example map in this thread: http://dpball.com/forums/index.php?topic=1056.0

  The pball ent file that came with the bsp editor had a error on it.  The spawnflags need to be on the same line as the entity. I've fixed most of them (I think) and added the platform and the func_rotating from the posts here.
  Here is the entity list I'm using.... the entities I've tried seem to be working fine.

Cool, thanks.   I guess I'll have to put together another BSP pack.  I need to redo the .wal's as well because they were too bright and caused the reflective light in arghrad to look funky.
