In all fairness, I think it should be "your map on our server, and our map on your server."  Otherwise it's like picking the map and picking the side, too.

that is true, but what if the other team doesnt have our map on their server?  (happened once already...)
Well, if we announce the map beforehand, the other team should be required to upload it to their server, you could say...  but yes, i thought about that, too :)

Or just use a dedicated third party server for all maps like most normal people. Some servers (ie, cable) are inadequate for matching..

After looking at the map, it shouldn't be on any server, and definitely shouldn't be used for matches.  It's a 1-path cyko map with mostly autocockers and lots of misaligned textures.

What kind of connection is your server running on, anyway?

5.4 MBit if I rememver right... :)

And the map has a total of 2 Autocockers.... anyways, we pick a map because we can perform well there, not because it looks nice.  If it is a map that is played on a public server, I can understand why you dont like it, but for matches.... stop picking on it
