Rolling Paintballs and Everlasting Gren Balls
« on: October 03, 2005, 06:42:43 PM »
Jitspoe, WTF man?

#1:
I'm getting killed by paintballs rolling across the ground.
A little rebounding might happen in R/L off smooth surfaces, but grass, of ANY kind, is gonna shred a paintball. Brick is gonna shred a paintball. This bounce and roll stuff is so unrealistic it isn't funny. AND if a paintball should happen to survive a rebound off of one of these rough surfacers (which is about 90% of all surface textures in DP) the velocity of the ball would be reduced so dramatically that the ball would bounce off you.

#2:
I don't care when grenades explode. But there have been some abnormally long survived stray paintballs coming off grenades lately. I'm talking way unrealistic like.

FIX IT NOW darn YOU :)

Eh... nothing has changed.  Some tweaking could be in order, though.

The bouncing is fine, unless you're playing on weird settings, the rolling balls can't kill you.

And I agree with you on the grenade thing.
