I need help, cant get this to work :(

Ok i just got this and i have a router just so you know. I unlocked ports 27000 - 27999. Ok so i get into the game and 10-20 secs after i join, that little picture of the Phone cord unplugged from the jack in the top left corner. After this shows up I freeze. I cant still talk but i cant move. How the heck do i fix this? other online games work.

The phone jack thing means you're really lagged... I'm not sure what exactly you can do to fix it with your connection setup. :\

you shouldnt have to unlock any ports on your router to Play the game on the internet, only if you wish to host out a server.

He does meat... and he got it working im surprised neither of you noticed he opend the incorrect ports ;] I didnt either though I belive dave did so dont feel bad =]

ok so why would i be laggin so bad....i have cable and most other games dont lag, unless this game requires a huge upstream.

Oh your still lagging hmmmmm , try setting your rate to 8000.. err maybe its just one server? try connecting to a couple of other DP servers and see what happens.

I lag alot but my supposedly T1 connection really sucks ass right now. only time i can really get on to play dp is 1am to 10am, which is the time i am ususally in bed. I wish my connection didnt suck so bad.
