Video Card? Network Card? IDK Problem! PLS @_@!
« on: January 21, 2008, 03:16:56 AM »
I get errors that tend to bring my ping up to 500-1000.

I don't have any programs running. No porn downloading nothing!

Upgraded my video drivers, and reinstalled DP.

I get pjacked only in certain areas of maps. I think some lights in the maps might be in charge of my little problem i have?

Some maps I can play with no problem... Any ideas??

2 Errors.

U_REMOVE: oldnumb != newnum

Delta parse_entities too old.

Thanks!

This has nothing to do with your video card. And the high ping is the cause of this error, not the result. Anyway, it sounds like you're dropping (a significant number of) packets. Use 'cl_netgraph 1', and post a screenshot of it when the old delta error is back.

Yep, it's something to do with your network connection. Are you on wireless? Anyone else using the internet connection?

I've heard people say that you can get p-jacked(i get the logo) from having a bad video card. I just want to figure out which one it is.. my Network card or video card so i don't go out and end up buying one and finding out the problem wasn't fixed.

It's either your network card, network card drivers, or you have soemthing in the background using network resources ( limewire or bittorrent perhaps?)

Either something is royally screwed up on your pc or you are running something in teh background but don't know it.

run msconfig and kill all services on startup that you don't need and see what happens.

LMFAO

He PMed me on IRC last night and was like, "I got a new network card and it's still not fixed. You were wrong. My video card is what is making me pjack."

How can you honestly think that a video card is making you pjack.

#1 Im not downloading ANYTHING.
#2 I replaced my old Ethernet card with a new one.
#3 I made sure i updated all my VIDEO and network drivers.
#4 My internet does NOT lag. (well it does im sure, but its not what causes my pjack)
#5 I only LAG in some maps not all maps.
#6 I'm not on wireless
#7 Nothings running in my background. msconfig checked already..
#8 I'm asking for your help, not your criticism.

Yeah i was pissed off before, because all you do is talk trash kilo. And I don't want you to respond to this thread if your intentions are to piss me off. So please ONLY respond if you have IDEAS on what my problem is.

As for now, im going to buy a new video card.

Thank you.

what kind of video card are you using?

what kind of network card are you using?

and what Operating System are you running?

do you have 1 network card in or two? disabling the unused one may help, no need to take up IRQ's.

Try updating your Operating System, are you using an old OS?

Maybe its your router/modem. you said your laptop runs fine, is your laptop plugged into a different port, try connecitng the ethernet cord into another port.
TRY EVERY PORT!

and i guess the last thing would be to ask who is your Internet Provider?

Ive never had this problem but even when i had a 500 ping....i didnt have spikes, it was just all high...and my game ran fine, it would be the weapon response that was slow (lagged)
