resolution problems
« on: January 31, 2008, 03:03:11 PM »
if i set the game's resolution to 640x480 it looks good but when i reduce the program my computer stays in that resolution.

so i try to set the game's res to 1280x768, but then the main menu and console text becomes microscopic and very hard to read.

is there a way to get the best of both worlds?

What OS are you running?  You could try running in windowed mode.

If you prefer playing in 640x480, use alt+enter to switch it to windowed mode whenever you want to do something on the desktop -- then use alt+tab to release your mouse from the window (or bind a key to "in_mouse 0" and when you're ready to play again hit a key bound to "in_mouse 1").  If a higher resolution works for you, just do what ViciouZ said.

You selected a resolution over the pixel "width" and "length" of your monitor.  Find out what your screen resolution is, and set that in game.

Also as jitspoe said, what operating system are you running?

Hey pep....try the hud scale but max it out....i dont know what the number max is but it should help a bit.

Also off topic but since i have your attention, ask to join GT again, get vent....and i will hook up....

Its note worthy to say unless you have double accounts... you are next in line in my book.

its in the game menu.....GUI  Graphic user interface.

Press esc (escape)

Learn that menu and toggle it every which way you can...untill u like what u see.

Now as far as entering a command, as mentioned above, press the below esc and above the tab.....in there you will find a whole new world.. which should not be. Untill the game menu is really worked on....this is the only way to 'fine tune' your pc and actually cheat...

:)

Have fun learning.
