Has anyone used Amazon's Kindle reader?  I have a girlfriend who loves reading and it seems like a sweet birthday present  for the girl who bought me a PS3.

Kindle reader?  What, do you use it for reading flames?  Isn't that what these forums are for?

I was considering either it or the Sony reader. Haven't tried them yet though.

It would have a lot less eye strain than an LCD apparently. That would be the selling point for me as I read a lot of items on the computer. I also read on my cell phone, but the battery life would be better here, and again, the eye strain less.

The big advantage of the Kindle is the wireless access. But I really wouldn't use that much as I mostly read free items in the public domain.
