Problem: Not Responding
« on: May 25, 2008, 02:03:14 PM »
So I've been on a break from DP2 for about two/three months now and decided to come back. But when I downloaded the build 21 full file and start up the game, the window of the game is blank and is pretty much frozen. I haven't downloaded any maps yet either, could this be the problem?  :-\

Edit: I've gotten the problem fixed. I formatted my whole computer..:P But the good thing is, everything else that's broken is running fine now. Maybe i just had a virus...oh well o_o

At what point does it freeze?

Make sure you don't have a firewall or software blocking its internet connection.  It could be trying to contact the login server.

I turned everything off and it still won't work, all the firewalls and anti viruses. Am I missing something?

Maybe it has something to do with that new faulty windows update Knack was talking about in "Other Stuff".
Ive had problems with opening a few programs such as powerpoint and My weather channel desktop thingy. and now i cant reboot my com or it stays on the startup screen with the windows emblem and the moving blue bar at the bottom.

Could be a driver issue.  How long have you let the game sit while frozen?

About 1-2 minutes and I manually shut it down. I have done it for longer, thinking it needed load time, but it doesn't help.
