Hello Community!
EuroPaint is proud to present to you the new EuroPaint 1v1 Ladder (EPL). A new kind of competition for everyone, go show the others your skill!
The EPL features 3 ladder types: European Ladder, American Ladder and International Ladder. The difference between those is the server you match on, so in the end, you’ll have to try to be top in all 3 ladders.
There’s a ruleset presented on the website, but only accessible to those registered, so I’ll give you a quick overview over the main points here.
a) you are eligible to challenge any player in any ladder at any time
b) if you receive a challenge, you can accept, deny(decline?) or change it
c) there are basic serversettings provided, but they’re more like something you can fall back to if not both players agree on the current server settings
a. guntemp_inc 0
b. flagmustbeatbase 0
c. flagcapendsround 0
d. timelimit 10
e. fraglimit 50
d) if you fail to follow a certain “netiquette”, you can be punished. Breaking any rules can also lead to punishments
So how does it work? Step 1: RegistrationYou can only register to the ladder if you are a registered member of EuroPaint. When you have logged in to EuroPaint, you will see a link in your personal navigation pointing to the ladder registration (currently only for the english language set). From there, you’ll be asked to provide a name + password for the Ladder. You should use one the names you have registered in the Global Login System. After registration, you can always access the EuroPaint Ladder website at
http://ladder.europaint.eu without going through the normal EuroPaint website.
Step 2: ParticipationThe ladder functions are only available to those who are logged in to the ladder. You can then check out the current rankings, take a look at your open and accepted challenges and challenge other players. After completing a match, you can enter the score and upload the screenshots belonging to the match so the admins have proof.
The Ladder is now open to all players, but currently in test mode. Not all functionality is done yet, and we also hope for helpful input from those who dare to try it. There’s only a very limited mappool, for example, which hopefully will be filled with your requests.
Still on the ToDo-List:
- allow players to upload screenshots
- forgotten-password function
- increase mappool
- add suggestions
