cant connect in q2 jump mod

i hear that u all want me to use the q2 jump mod so i dicided to try... so i dloaded the files from wireplay and then i connected to the ip jitpoes gave us for the q2 jump mod. then it NEVER connected. i cant connect to ANY jump mod server so now im stuck using dp to jump

ok i can connect know BUT it says "user info contains illegal bytes"

now i keep getting kicked EVERYTIME i enter a server

when u help DONT say dp isnt a jump mod cus in trying to USE IT

It's not our fault that there might not be any q2 jump mod servers out there. That's where YOU come in, get a server, and RUN a q2 jump mod server.

nonono. i know there r servers out there i asked some 1 and they could conect to the same server i was trying to connect to but i just cant connect...

Sounds like you need to take your funname off, it probably conflicts with the r1q2 server.

Your name for jump should save in its own config, so you can still use your dp funname in dp if it's set properly.

Are you trying to connect with paintball2?  You should probably download r1q2 or whatever the recommended client is.  They might have cheat detection or something.

thanks BUT now it keeps messing up my config.cfg!!!

and r u not suposed to not be able to pickup and shoot weapons?

Start fresh.  Go to their website, and download their software, then install it in a completely separate directory.  Play the jump mod the way it was meant to be played.

Has this kid even got q2 yet?  Or is he just trying to run it with Paintball.  I recommend using the full version, some reason some textures are missing in the demo, and it affects some of the maps.

ya i just got q2 and i moved the mod there and it worked fine.  i wanted to use it with dp so i could switch between pball and jumping with out opening another program
