They shouldn't show up unless you add them.  To remove bots you can type "sv removebot all"  I think "sv removeallbots" works as well.

well, i gave that a try, in the server.cfg and in the console, and through rcon.  And to no avail, I get a game not loaded msg when i do it through rcon.  And the other two ways, give command errors.

You have to have a map loaded.

I do have a map loaded, the bots do not show up in the game unless someone enters it.  So when you are looking at the console of the dedicated server when you start it, it looks and reacts just like it should with out the bots.  However, upon the first person connecting to the server, the bots come in.  I was thinking that there is an autobot load command...or something to that effect. but idk :-/

Well, since ive been messing around with all of this, i noticed this...bug...with the bots.  It seems upon the map being changed, in this case to a DM map, the bots get suspended in mid air, and cant be shot to have them respawn.  I would also want to note, that there are a few who didnt get stuck like this. :P silly bots

Yeah, they do that sometimes.  The bots aren't meant to be used yet.  When the bots are on, use the "sv removebot all" command.

Another bug with bots....
if they're dead, and you (sv)remove them, their body stays there...and never goes away. :P
