Noob question

Sorry about this question but I couldnt find anything in the search. When you try to join a server and it comes up with a bad pasword message, how do you get that password and than how do you enter it. Thanks and please no flaming.

You get the password by having the password...  you type passsword (passhere)

so say the pw is dingleberry

youd type password dingleberry

If a password is set, generally it means people are matching on the server, or want to keep it private for some reason.  It's to keep random players from joining in.  If you don't know the password, it means you probably shouldn't be playing on that server.  If you do know the password (ie: a friend gave it to you so you could start up a private game), simply type "password <password>" at the console as SkAtEr said.
