Trees = fall
« on: February 10, 2006, 08:54:50 PM »
...when it's windy. Which it is in Oregon, around this time of year. Anyways, last night, two trees fell about 2 houses down from mine. No one was hurt (except for one roof), in two amazingly lucky strokes of luck. (heh, lucky strokes of luck. Double-lucky.)Also, remember that the trees here are HUGE. Humongo, in fact.

#1: Small-ish tree (compared to the others) fell on the roof of a house. This smashed the rafters, which fell RIGHT on the bed where the couple that sleeps there usually sleep. (Man, I'm redundant today.) Luckly, they hadn't gone to bed yet. At 2AM in the morning. Must have been terrifying, though.

#2: Rather thick tree fell right next to a house. I checked it out, and it missed the house by literally half a foot. It was a big enough tree that it would have gone completely through their house, had it hit. Luuuuuuucky.

Who knows, I might even get pics tomorrow.

I have a disaster.  The spell check is broken!

(That or people aren't using it).
