Streaming Help
« on: May 09, 2009, 09:42:53 PM »
I need some help finding a way to stream music through vent, as in they hear what i hear. However my computer apparently doesn't have and option to do that, I'm running windows Vista 64 bit. I just wanna know if there's some kind of driver or plug-in i can use to stream what i hear on my computer through vent and also be able to record it through audacity.

i do this

1) go in setup on vent
2) go  to mixer and put it on sigma tel audio
3) go to line 2 under mixer and put it on stereo mix
4) take off the push to talk and lower your sensitivity

Right click on the volume icon in taskbar, go to Recording Devices. Right click on the selection box and enable "Show Disabled Devices". You can then enable Stereo Mix.

Ok I've done that and all it has is... internal AUX jack (which it says is not plugged in), microphone, and stereo mix. I've tried setting it to the stereo mix on vent but that still didn't work for streaming.

After enabling it, you could try setting it as default, I seem to remember that having some effect.
