I personally after playing alot of counterstrike allign the gun to the center. Main menu, Setup, Layout Options, Handedness-Center. This makes the bullets go straight into your crosshair instead of to the left/right at close range.

There are controls that let you change it in-game. That way you can peak around corners with the gun.
