« on: June 12, 2009, 06:56:36 AM »
Time: Saturday (27.06.09) from 16:00BST,that is 17:00CET and 18:00 EET
Format: 3v3, double, best out of 1, final is bo3.
Maplist: cvalley, myland_ctp, encounter, castle1, roundup, midnight, pbcup_renoir
Match rules: 20min per match, and common match rules apply. (2 nades, 1 smoke, 60 sec revival, etc).
Servers: 6 servers from Germany, 2 from UK. (4 from arctic, 2 from OTB, 2 from insignia)
Signups: This tournament will take place using double elimination if we have minimum 6 teams. Maximum 8 teams can join up. You can either make a team of maximum 6 random players or dplogin.com clans can play with all of their members.

Ok, now about all of that above in a bit more detail. I guess the time doesn't need to be explained.. Format - 3v3 like said.
If all the slots in server are used, then your team spec must get the intercourse out to let the admin spec.

Double elimination - this basically means that you are not out of the tournament until you have been beaten 2 times! So you can lose in first round but still win the whole tournament.
Best out of 1 means that you play 1 we have previously SELECTED for you.

Signing up - Please leave a post to this thread or pm blaa, Gamabunta or Magalhaes (or basically any [q] member) in irc saying that you want to participate. !!!Important!!! Checking in - You have to check in ~15 minutes before the start of the tournament. 5min before the start i do pairs so have someone signing your tea min as early as possible.

Tournament channel - #team_qehs. Signing in happens there and excrement.
We use the same bracket system like last time: you can watch last cups results here: http://timetravellers.planet.ee/minicup/bracket_view.php

Maps for rounds:
Round1: cvalley
Round2: myland_ctp
Round3: roundup
Losers1: encounter
Losers2: castle1
Losers3: midnight
Losers4: pbcup_renoir
Grande finale: Each team picks 1 map from the maplist. If tie map is needed you eliminate two maps each from the remaining 5 maps.

http://timetravellers.planet.ee/stuff/pbcup_renoir.bsp

Approximate time schedule, so players know what to expect: (ALL TIMES IN GMT THAT IS 1 HOUR EARLIER THAN IN CENTRAL EUROPE).
16:00 - start signing in in #team_qehs, by reporting that your team is online and willing to play to blaa, Magalhaes or Gamabunta.
16:45 - If some teams aren't there, and lets say more than 8 teams signed up, then we invite one of the substitute teams.
16:55 - If 8 teams or less teams signed up and some of the teams havent signed in by now we eliminate these teams. I also start making seeds (I will do them random, I mothermeddling swear). Team captains will also get server logins (we only give it to captains, if some problems occur later, captain is responsible).
17:00 - First 8 matches - Round 1! 17:35 - Admins enter the results to brackets and pm the captains of teams their new server. Both Round 2 and Losers Bracket Round 1 will be played now.
18:10 - Losers bracket round 2 and round 3 (final game in winner bracket will be played)
18:45 - Losers bracket round 3
19:15 - Losers bracket round 4
~20:00 - FINALEEEEE. Side note: Please remember this:  A TEAM IS NOT OUT OF THE CUP UNTIL TEAM HAS LOST 2 MATCHES. What this means in the final? So, final is best of 3. Lets say the Loser Bracket winner wins 2 matches. THIS DOESNT MEAN THEY HAVE WON, THE WHOLE TOURNAMENT, THIS MEANS THE WINNER BRACKET WINNER WAS BEATEN FOR THE FIRST TIME!!! So ANOTHER Best of three will be played. If winner bracket winner wins the first bo3, then they win. GG. Hope you understand.

A little update!

Ok, 12 days to go until the tournament. 4 teams have already signed up! Besides host qehs and previous winner oxzmoze, we also have debutant inmortal gaming signed up and insignia, who played last time(as fun clan) as well, is now represented as a dplogin clan.

I know I really don’t have a solid ground for my next statement/hope, but I say it anyway – if enough teams sign up within this week, we will make the tournament not for maximum 8 teams, as planned, but for 16 instead. This comes from me messing something up and agreeing to use a total of 8 servers for this tournament.. although for 8 teams, we would only need 4 servers, but o’well, maybe enough teams sign up :p.

So servers – 6 servers from germany, 2 from UK. (4 from arctic, 2 from OTB, 2 from insignia). Thanks again to ic3y, T3rr0r1st and Kyuuchi!

If we get 16 teams to join, we will add more maps for the other rounds.

Something for spectators as well! Besides hopefully having a scorebot on our channel like last time (ty bitmate) we can provide you live stream from matches! Thanks goes to gamabunta for making it happen and some dude from GlobalGamers whose name I cant remember atm.

Mmmm, what else… JOIN UP FEGETS!! The reason we are organizing these small cups is to build a solid ground for a league, so we need to see that teams are ready to play at certain times! If there are atleast 8 teams signed up for this Sunday I make the brackets for 16 teams. Cmon 16 teams is way more fun than 8 teams. But keep in mind, that the schedule will go a lot longer, so be prepared for that.

With the great help of GlobalGamers, we can provide you Shoutcast TV! On the day of our cup, we will stream live matches, so connect to http://pantheon.mrtn.info:8001/listen.pls and open the file with Winamp (www.winamp.com for yall who don't have it yet). We will start streaming about 5 minutes before cup starts to see whether it works well, so be sure you idle in #team_qehs at this time!

The Cup is over!
Congratulations to all players, thanks for playing! It's lovely to organise cups for you, so prepare for next :D
oXmoZe won once again, proving they are unbeatable in Europe (and not only).

Standings: http://timetravellers.planet.ee/minicup/bracket_view.php

I've received rather positive feedback on shoutcastTV, good that you liked it. Here thanks goes to mrTn and GlobalGamers at all, cause they were the ones to lend us a server.
Also thanks to k3y and ic3y for servers.

Thanks for participating!

It was fun seeing unknown maps. Keep your Cups coming, they've all been great to play in.
