I say to make a spawn area, and have the players have low end weapons. What you can do is have just one spawn outside of the area.

Have a longer spawn area with multiple exits. Also seperate the spawns a litte more. That would pretty much prevent spawn camping.

I have to agree with JeeJee. Start the spawns with low end guns, maybe make a carbine somewhere in each base.

yes, and cocker for mid. Also spawn with brass/chrome barrel and place steel somewhere near mid. This way people will take new routes when hunting better equipment.

BETA 2 IS OUT!!!!!!!!!!!

Fixed some texture problems
Added some new ladders, and ways to paths
Fixed Lighting problems
Added some new lights in the shaft/cave
Fixed Spawns (now teams on sides)
Fixed Spawn with items
The spawns are really spread out, 2 at flag 1, 1 at 2nd flag, 1 in bunker by 2, 2 at cave/shaft entrance

I also noticed something with some barrels near the base.

The map sort of reminds me of a more claustrophobic version of disaster.bsp

Robbie, use cylinder command for barrels. They're not even near to symmetrical and they look god darn ugly.

I think he did, then accidentally dragged a vertex before trying to move one, then copied that disturbed barrel.

For me they look like clipped. Half of the sides are shorter than the other half

Edit: Imo you shouldn't be using carbines. Map is small and tight, so it's easy to camp and line when everyone has good gun. You ave lots of lips and cracks, size of 1 unit. Intentional or not, they're really annoying and should be fixed. Wooden bunkers look still bad, use metal.

Btw, do you use clipping planes?

Attached a demo and uploaded the map to the beta server.  You have a LOT of misaligned brushes.  Need to work on improving your brushwork and grid usage.

Spend more time on fixing all the problems and allowing the game play to flow through easier.

Robbie, I'd start this map over but try to keep the original layout, it seems liek it might have good gameplay and I agree with Termi.
