texture making
« on: September 22, 2009, 11:37:25 PM »
so ive been getting a little into photography and started thinking of taking shots for textures. the one thing that i cant figure out is how to make tessallations. i know that have many of themselves in the shot dont even need to tesselate, you cant tell regardless. but for shots of say long grasses, they need to somehow flow when tiled. do you just take one end of the picture off and layer it onto the other side. not sure, suggestions?

3 dimensional tessellations, hell of a mind.

The link wizzi posted is for basic texture making, provided you already have a seamless photo ready to convert.
Tessellation is an entirely different level of texture making. Takes quite a bit of photo editing skills.
