GG Anniversary #3, Final Information
« on: October 20, 2009, 12:34:58 PM »
Basically, the plan is to have EU players compete separate from US players until the finals, when the winner of the EU matches plays the winner of the US matches.

Server Update:
I'm using my (USA) VPS for the American bracket (Located at Dallas), and I think we're going to use lawl/OTB servers for the European bracket.

What's happening is, two maps will be played. Both via elimination, but one of the maps will be on an American server, and the second map on a European server.
If it is a draw, then the players will play the same maps again. Until there is a clear winner.

Example:
US wins 1st map.
EU wins 2nd map.
US loses 3rd map.
EU loses 4th map.
US wins 5th map.
EU loses 6th map.

So US win, understand? If not, I'll clarify it a bit better.

TOURNAMENT IRC CHANNELl: #GG1v1Cup

Please be in there for the whole duration of the tournament, and preferably 30 minutes before the tournament starts.

Any questions, please ask an Operator ( @ ) of the channel for information about the tournament.

Was there any thought of a 3v3 or 4v4 tourney at all?

Yes there was. But I think the GG staff had done their research from the last 3v3, 4v4 tournaments and found out that sometimes it's pretty unstable here. Also, they didn't want to host another 3v3 or 4v4 this year. They wanted something different.
More details will be on the way soon. Just organizing website, and other stuff at the moment.
