Well I would even wonder out and say that if people REALLY wanted to play with grenades then maybe they would play on the server that I provide that has grenades. As for most people not having then Public 2(64.246.15.2:27930) on their server list....
Users of gamespy who use the
http://www.planetquake.com/digitalpaint/servers.txt as a server list for their tab should have the Public 2 server on their tab since the server is listed there.
The All-Seeing Eye users should have Public 2 listed under their Quake 2->Other->Paintball automatically.
People who use the latest Digital Paint: Paintball 2 2.0x alphas will list Public 2 in their address book if their decide to retrieve the server list from the Multiplayer menu.
IRC Users who retrieve server addresses via !servers in #eR33t-Servers on ETG will see Public 2 in the listing of eR33t game servers.
I think that the number of players who don't fall into any of the above categories is pretty slim, so I really don't think it is a matter of not enough people knowing about the server. Also in regards to ping, the servers are on the same machine, and should produce pretty close ping results... Perhaps you are using ASE with improper network settings which will inaccurately report pings from servers that are not the first servers scanned.
The only real argument I can see is that the map rotation probably sucks; but I'm not going to do much about that until I see some user-submitted maplists... in which case you can send to
bain@eR33t.com.
