Please Help, Jump Map Problem

Hi, I am a fan of jump maps and I play them A LOT....but i can't seem to make it so that when people shoot each other, they dont actually kill each other. 

I have searched a lot for this and I have not found anything. I have asked some people but I didnt understand what they said.

Log in and type this into the console: cvar_set nokill 1

You can also set the ballspeed to 0 or some other small number.

Are you an admin? If so:

cvar_set ball_life 0

Also make sure game mode is dm (deatmatch) - it makes game far less annoying when all members of other team leave or kill themselves. No warmup either.
