I like this feature because when I'm strafe jumping to cap the flag I don't like stopping to pick up something.

Jitspoe intended this game to be fast paced and high speed. This feature will help with that because you don't have to get your hand off your mouse to pick something up.

You can also set priority levels. If you preffer the brass barrel over the steel barrel, then you can set it so that it would trade the steel for brass. It will work with other items/weapons too.
