Those look pretty sweet.  Maybe when I design the new map format, I could make it support that, though it would only work on high-end cards.

Heh, it requires OpenGL 1.5.  I could only get it to work on my GeForce 7800GT.  It wouldn't run on my Radeon 9700Pro.

I really need to update my 32 meg Nvidia GeForce 256

Anyways, I hope the new map format is slightly smaller (Dialup users everywhere agree)

I plan to make the new map format support compression, but they will contain a lot more data, so in the end, they'll probably be the same size or larger.
