Log Files too big
« on: July 15, 2011, 03:58:26 PM »
The log file of our public is getting up to 100'000 Lines just after one week. So is there a way that Paintball deletes the begin of the file when it writes to the end? Or another way to keep the logfile small? If i just write a program that deletes the first xxxxx Lines, Paintball wont log because the file has changed. The Server should be up 24/7, so restart it every day that the logfile resets isn't a solution.

So: how to keep the logfile small?

If you want to delete some lines each day, it is easier to turn the logging off. But 100.000 lines / week is ok. That's not very much. Our speed server has around 1.800.000 lines / month.
