BSP adding weapons,ammo?
« on: January 20, 2012, 05:09:25 AM »
I hate BSP so much, I go to give loaded co2 to they chosen player entity by using the value "LoadedCO2" and the key "20oz." and when I go to test sometimes I spawn with loaded co2, other times I don't....makes no sense, this factor has ruined some of my previous maps.

PS: I need the key for giving a player entity paintball's too start. Thanks

Make sure that you added the equipment for all player spawns.

Some of the other keys are:
"givegun" "#"
"giveammo" "#"
"givebarrel" "#"
"givehopper" "#"
"giveco2" "#"

Yep still not working...this is really stupid i hate bsp..needs to be fixed. I used all of those keys/values for only 1 spawn  I'm just using 1 spawn ATM to test and it still doesn't work...i get a hopper a barrel and a gun, but no loaded co2, and sometimes it even gives a random gun even though i specifically typed carbine...

"LoadedCO2" or "loadedco2"? Try to write everything lower case. Maybe it's case-sensitive.

"20oz." or "20oz"?

Did you tested it without the point at the end?

Just wondering instead of giving a weapon to a player to start out with, how would you place a specific weapon on the map i see the weapon_pballgun entity but I don't know the key and value. Same with the paintball ammo. I want to add 2 autocockers on the map, and some 200 paintball boxes. I wouldn't be asking all of these questions and recent posts if the links from jits former posts were to work anymore. Thanks

Just click the '?' button. It pretty much answers your question. (While on the Entity you wish to add variables to).

Merged this topics.

I think the post of rick should answer the questions. Most of the keys and values are listed in BSP when using the '?' at the entity window :)
