Gun Statistics
« on: September 19, 2012, 01:29:57 AM »
Jitspoe, may you post the gun specific statistics as to spread, distance, and BPS please.

To make easier, you can assume all guns have steel barrel, would be cool to know the other barrels too though.

I think the barrels only increase stats by a certain amount regardless of gun being used.

Provided that's true, I think it would be best to have the stats show what each gun would be like using the stock barrel and have stats showing how much each barrel increments each stat.

I want to say this was posted before somewhere.  I don't have the numbers handy right now to look at.

I tried searching "gun stats" and "gun spread" but couldn't come up with it in the search. I basically want to know if the carbine is better than the autococker. (I think carbine is better, Autococker has that extra ball burst which leaves gap in the paint line)

I'll look again.

Edit: Is this accurate?

Weapon     --        Rate of Fire       --   Ball Speed    --    Accuracy
 PGP          --   1.0 (61 balls/min)    --     1.08          --     decent
 Trracer      --   2.4 (147 balls/min)  --     1.10
 Stringray    --   3.4 (208 balls/min)  --     0.95
 VM-68       --   4.0 (245 balls/min)   --     0.90
 Spyder SE  --   4.6 (277 balls/min)   --     0.94
 Carbine      --   5.1 (306 balls/min)   --     1.10
 Autococker--   5.4 (329 balls/min)    --    1.08         --       best
 Automag   --   6.2 (375 balls/min)    --     0.90

And what does "accuracy" really mean?

That looks about right.  I'd have to double check, but I think the weapons only affect the rate of fire and velocity.  Accuracy is determined by the barrel upgrades (accuracy reduces how much the balls veer off  in flight).

Oh, I just realized the ".90" for example doesn't mean accuracy, its the ball speed.

So could you post like Y and X spread variables? or a general spread pattern?

There's not a typical spread like most games have.  The balls shoot straight out, but have a corkscrew type behavior in-air, so they veer off in different directions.
