Error: Vismap Expansion Overflow
« on: March 29, 2013, 12:19:40 PM »
I tried compiling my map using "qbsp fastvis rad" but there was an error I had never seen before:

*********Error************
Vismap Expansion Overflow

So how do I fix this error? My guess would be to fully VIS it instead of fastvising it. That's what I'm doing right now. (my map takes extremely long to VIS.)

Is the map very big and complex? Try using the normal final compile (not the high quali one). Also detailing stuff like boxes, barrels and other stuff that doesn't block the VIS will reduce your numportals and will run the export much faster.

The detailing tool is your best friend.
