FAQ : #sPec# Summer Tournaments

Hello there!

Due to the quantity of people that have been inquiring about the tournaments this summer, I thought I would throw together a quick FAQ post to help.

This FAQ will gradually be updated.


SIGNUPS
Q: Where can I signup?
A: Here: http://paintball.jordanmrichards.com/tournaments.php?signup

Q: Will I have to signup my team every time for each tournament in the series?
A: No, once you sign up, your team is set to play in every tournament in the series.

Q: Do I have to donate if I sign up?
A: Although donations are very much appreciated, they are not required to sign up or take part.

Q: I cannot make every tournament in the series, so should I still signup?
A: Absolutely! Signing up merely means that you will play in at least one of the tournaments. Make sure you show up 30 minutes before the tournament starts (on teamspeak) so the brackets can be generated.

Q: When will sign ups close?
A: You will be able to "join" the tournament series at any time, however, you must be at the teamspeak channel at otb-server.de 30 minutes before to be accepted into the bracket before the current tournament starts.


GENERAL

Q: Do I have to take a screenshot at the end of the match?
A: Yes, you must take a screenshot of the leaderboard when the match is over and then send it to me via teamspeak. I recommend using imgur.com to upload the screenshot. Then just right click and "Copy Image URL."

Q: If my team misses a tournament, will there be any chance of us coming in the top 3?
A: Due to the mechanic of the points system, this would be possible, but you'd have to play extremely well.

Q: When will tournament 2 of the series take place?
A: The original plan was to have the first one on the 16th, then each one after every Saturday until the 6th of September. The second tournament will most likely be held on the 23rd of August. However, further discussion needs to be held.

Q: How much will be given to the winners of the tournament?
A: The amount that the winning team is given depends on how much is donated to the prize pool. Which can be found here.

Q: Does all of my team need to be on teamspeak?
A: No. Only one person needs to be idle on teamspeak for the server information and announcements. However, it is highly recommended that everyone is there, so you do not miss out on the atmosphere.

LIVE NEWS SHOW

Q: How can I get myself highlighted for the live news show?
A: Record demos of all of your tournament matches. If you make a great play that you think would be worthy to appear on the news show, then upload it to http://bantero.us/page/submit. You must have the time in the description of when then play took place.

Q: Can I be a guest in the next live news show?
A: If you would like to volunteer as a guest for the next show, please send me a message on these forums, containing details. (Please note: a mic of decent quality is required)
