Eiii want help!
« on: September 23, 2006, 12:26:48 PM »
So, I discovered I can plug component cables into my video card (Nvidia 7900,latest drivers, etc). The card very clearly says Component IN, but I have no clue how to access what I've plugged into my video card.  The S-Video out worked, so it's not the cables or anything... does anyone know?

right click go to properties, and go to where is shows settins on your monitor, it should say nVidia 7900 with 2 monitors select the 2nd monitor and make sure the thing you plugged in is on the right channel?

Uh, Let me explain more.

I have one monitor. The video card has an S-VIDEO out I plugged into my TV to test. Works fine. But, I don't know how do get it to detect input, like S-VIDEO in or Component in.

Anyone?

My 7900GT doesn't have in. :'(
I have to use my WinTV Tuner card to grab input from other things.

I didn't realize there were any nvidia cards that had input like that.  ATI makes some, but usually you have to get a separate TV tuner card.  Which card do you have, specifically?

I attempted to research this for quiet a while and couldn't find any information that mentioned S-VIDEO in or Component in on Nvidia 7900 graphics cards.  Found some that called them both output jacks.   Also, found a lot of good information about Nvidia 7900 series cards like the on line manual in *.pdf format - Specifics would help indeed.

My TI4200 did this.  You need to run some capture software to grab the input.  I forget what I used, but it was along the lines of adobe premier or what not.

When everything is plugged in and on, Windows Movie Maker doesn't see any capture devices.
