"Who is credited for inventing speed and what nation first used it in war" There are so many conflicting documentions I was hoping someone knew a definitive answer I could point to.

Well, I guess it all started few thousand years ago, when man lived in a cave and had to hunt for food. Soon the man realized the faster he moves the closer he gets to the animal. Speed.
