My boss is big into comics, and this was one of his favorite characters, so he was pretty bummed.

Lol.  That is too bad, I have never read a comic book in my entire life.  The closest thing to comic book series I have come is seeing movies of the more famous ones.  For example, Spider Man adn Bat Man, and the HULK<--but I never saw that one.  I always find it funny when grown men talk about comic books, cause I can't fathem why they would be interested in that sort of stuff.  Maybe because I live in an extremely small town, I don't have any book stores or news stands anywhere near me.  But I am sorry your boss is sad about this Jitspoe, you should be his boss. :)

well, i never was a fan, but that does suck, but everyone dies eventually, guess it was  better if he dies like this than being eventually bored of and forgotten, that would have been depressing. its like if they never showed the last lord of the rings movie, you would be in suspense of what happens next, but oh well, we stil have spider man!
