Crosshair Pack
« on: March 08, 2007, 03:48:22 PM »
Thanks to Jitspoe's and Zorchenhimer's help I have been able to create my own crosshairs.

So here they are, if anyone wants them.

Just upload and save, then unzip in your Pball/pics folder. :)

They look good. Just a quick question: any specific reason why numbers 12 and 19 are 128x128?

PS. Remove the "<" and ">" from the link so you can just click on it.

http://zilla-clan.net/upload/452780    <-- sorry.

And the reason for the 10-19 is beacause I, for some reason, had 8 and 9 filled instead of just the 1-7.

I will also try to put up some screen shots.

Don't use such low numbers.  There are new crosshairs included with build 17.  Start at like 50 or something to avoid interference.

Uh oh, I have already downloaded the patch of build 17, that means I probably lost those crosshairs.  How high did the numbers go?

:( Bummer

Jitspoe is there anyway you could incorporate any on my new crosshairs into the game. I think some are pretty good, other weren't as good, but I think, hope, that some people will find them useful.  Also is there anything else I can make, or modify that will be beneficial to people?  I enjoy using GIMP so I would like to make other things, and I could work with you and help you make things for the game. :) Maybe? :)

they aren't good at all... can't even see them against dark areas, and the blue boxed ones look like a 3 year old centered it.

Let's try to be a little more constructive.  See you in a couple days.

Wow, Spook thank you for just killing them.  You can't see them in dark places because they are all black....It is realyl easy to change that, and one or two weren't suppose to be in there, they were mess ups. It was my frist try, if you have any ideas for them tell me I can make it for you.

And do it Jigsaw.

Didn't there used to be a command to change the color of the crosshair from console?

PiCaSSo: Nope.  If you change the color of black, it's still black anyway.  Coloring crosshairs could be done though -- throw it in the feature request thread if you'd like to see that.

What was it back in the Q2 days, the text??  I know there used to be a command for changing colors of the text or the crosshairs for the simple reason that some colors don't show up on some maps for instance, a black crosshair on a dark map.

There was never a way to change the crosshair or text color that I can recall.  Perhaps you're thinking of a different game?
