speedfactor was done by FluidX with Picasso's direction and the map build was horrible and polycount was outrageous.

I did nitefactor with both of their permission and Picasso's direction. I built that map very solid so polycount is way down compared to speedfactor.

Now the colored and animated light may lag it up a bit, I don't know.

THe FPS sign in nitefactor stands for FluidX Picasso S8N

I'm just going from memory right now, but I think the FPS sign in the blue base is a pale blue/white color (not a brighter blue) and that is what we were looking at in kNoC's screenshots.

Animated lights cause huge FPS drops on some video cards, so setting gl_dynamic to 0 as iEATnoobs suggested will help your framerate a lot on maps that have this (as well as prevent epileptic seizures on f00kc).

in the 2nd pic (scores) if you've never noticed, the C and Time looked like this CTime

C being the Caps
Time being the time spent in game

now after awhile the statistics can become merged together making it harder to read and make clear, i just spaced it out appropriately and then stretched the picture some, but the borders on the left and right, the silver/white ones don't align correctly, and im hoping jits can help me with that part, other than that, its done.


any help with the background picture in the scores menu jits?

You just need to adjust the positions of those widgets.

mine is just bright i guess, i messed with my video settings to see if maybe my stuff was just too bright, and checked my gl_modulate,
but gl_modulate doesn't work in dp, sooo, idk why its not dark, i wouldn't want it to be any way, cuss i can see better,
but i noticed its that way at my house and at school, 2 totally different machines and a tad bit different settings, due to performance issues...

Wow triple posting kNoC!

I am in the same boat as kNoC. At school mine is not dark but it isn't real bright either. And when I go home it is the same way.

My best advice is to try turning the brightness and contrast all the way up on your monitor. That seems to work best for me.

By the way kNoC, I feel that config was unnecessary. lol  :)

it is necessary, because that is the reason my video is bright. i deleted that config and am now using a default one with my own controls.... everything looks nice..
