Shadows

Yeah, guns and flags have shadows, but the player models dont? wtf....seeing a flag shadow on the ground next to a model looks pretty dumb, whats up with that ?

Player model shadows weren't a feature in Q2.  There have been some other new Q2-based engines with the player model shadows being added in, you should probably go vote for it in the 2007 vote thread.  While you're there you might as well vote for stencil shadows too, they're a lot nicer than the current shadows.

Stencil shadows are already in there.  The reason the player models don't have shadows is because they use the new skeletal model format, which I haven't gotten around to adding shadow support for.  Shadows only work on the md2 models.

Why is this in the Help and Supprt board. Wouldn't it be better off in the General Development or Bugs, Requests and Feedback board.

Moved.  Also, as bain suggested, throw a vote in the 2007 feature vote thread if you want to see shadows on the players.
