3rd person spectator mode
« on: July 02, 2007, 04:16:41 AM »
This is included in most  modern multiplayer shooters. Basically it allows you to switch between first person and third person view (which you can rotate) in spectator mode. I think it's included in the standalone of AQ2 (not sure if it was open source though). Would this be difficult to implement, and would everyone like to see this (also, is anyone against it)? I know you are able to use a third person view, but it's the ability to rotate it that I'm asking for.

Its already in the game. When you join spectator mode, type "camera" to console. To move between players use [ and ]. Left-click of your mouse switches between third-person view, rotatable third-person view, and finally first-person view.

(btw, that view is horrible :P )

I think you are referring tot the first-person view :P
jitspoe should get rid of the weapon of the player you are spectating.  That always bugs me.
