Server Issues
« on: August 15, 2007, 11:56:10 AM »
Ello all... Some of you might know me from my jump server I've been running. Well, anyways I've been having some issues with it lately (or since I started it really).

Well, unlike most, my server does show up on the list, but it only shows up about 25% of the time. I normally have to restart my router, re-enable all my port forwarding, and change some server settings before it might show up (if i'm lucky).

There are currently 3 computers on my network at home at any given time, so therefore my network IP is constantly changing. I have added the IPs that I have found to my port forwarding (see screenshot), yet for some reason it just doesn't seem to be working.

Also, my server is showing up on the server list here: http://www.dplogin.com/serverlist.php
yet, it still does not show up on my server list.

I have tried using setmaster dplogin.com in the console, yet it only worked once, and now I'm back to ground zero. (screenshot to show that I actually did it).

Also, I have Norton AntiVirus disabled, and my Windows Firewall has the 27910 port opened completely.

I have tried searching through topics, and have done things recommended to others, yet nothing seems to work 100%. If anybody has any suggestions, or sees anything wrong in the screen shots, please let me know. Also, I can copy and paste my server file if necessary, but I honestly don't think that has anything to do with it, as my server runs sometimes.

Cheers,
Fitz

Is it just not showing up but people can still connect? I usually can't see a server i set up on my machine.

It shows up on my computer with a ping of below 10ish, in which case I know others can't see it. If it shows up on the list with 20-30, I know other people can connect. If I refresh, then it will show up.. If I hit clear, then update it only shows up about 25% of the time, in which case other people can see it as well.

Clear + Refresh = me see it
Clear + Update = me and others see it. (25%)
