gah my file is 2 MB, so ill just say i get 300FPS, but in smoke just dies... no custom settings, if you have console settings please let me know

save to hard drive the use *additional options link below where u r typing and add. its ez need help more ask please

***edit large files seem to be capped try zipping.

On my 400mhz celeron / geforce1 DDR system, I get like 40-80fps, probably averaging around 60ish.  On my 2ghz / 9700pro system, I get like 200-500fps.

If the smoke kills your framerate, make sure you're using the latest version.  There was a bug in the ATI drivers I had to work around.

i get 400-500. on the fps topic wuts up with capping fps in servers? totally uncool. y is it done?

It only applies to the old/quake2 versions.  It's to prevent q2 users from having an unfair advantage (and wasting bandwidth).

how does it only apply to old versions when i get kicked frm capped servers and i not running an extremely old version?

Hm, that's a bug -- usually caused by too many packets being dropped/resent, I think.  It can also be releated to joysticks/controllers.  Do you have a joystick plugged in?  I may need to do some testing with you.  It only seems to happen with a select few people.
