Taking into consideration that we are talking about your typical, NON GUN SELLING, home improvement store, of which it's obvious some people have no ability to figure out...or else i'd just take a gatlin gun...

Lots of flammable gas/liquid tanks, home improvement stores have plenty of those, and some lighters, for effective fire and explosive stopping power. Fire rules!

Or a compressor and a nail gun if I want it to be fun. Or some pipe and valves making some other projectile based air powered gun.

Or a very large reel of bare wire and a 1600+ amp unprotected electrical source (since we're ignoring the need for an electric socket).

Or just go to the gardening department and buy all the cacti and surround yourself with them.

Wood, screws, counterweight, wheels, and rope to make a trebuchet, then I'd launch lawn ornaments at him.
   2. Fencing to use as a net, then a stake to finish him.
   3. Rope or wire to lasso  them, and a 2x4 with screw and nails at the end to finish them.
   4. Wood and a piece of chain to make nunchucks.
   5. a Lead pipe
