Server Help
« on: October 27, 2007, 11:40:41 AM »
I have a big problem. I don't know what the problem is. I have used Troubleshooter. It says :

DP Resource Public Server Troubleshooter
Specified server information: 91.89.244.131:27910
RCON password provided? no
Run at Sat, 27 Oct 2007 17:33:52 +0000

TEST PROCESS
===================
> Checking if 91.89.244.131:27910 can be connected to...
>    Writing to socket: '\xFF\xFF\xFF\xFFstatus\n'
>    Attempting to read, 3 second timeout...
>    Error: Read operation timed out, port is firewalled? data packet lost in transit?
> Failed to connect to server!
> Checking server list...
> Getting server list from http://dplogin.com/serverlist.php
> No entries found on the server list

RECOMMENDATIONS
===================
* Your server may not even be running; try connecting to it on this computer: run /connect 127.0.0.1:27910 in console
* Your server's port may not be forwarded; make sure you forward your ports for UDP port 27910 (and make sure it's set to the right computer address)
* Your server's port may be firewalled; make sure you allow port 27910 through your firewall

plz help me

You click the link on the troubleshooter ("forward your ports," precisely).

Err, (a) are you sure the server is running (does it say a map loaded?) and (b) did you forward the ports correctly?

The standard port is 29710.

It says: bad gametype 4 not in 1.the rest is correct
Seems like you try to start a map with a gamemode that is not supported on that map.

I don't think the game cares if you have an invalid gametype. Second, isn't that an error with the map (although my dopjump doesn't have it), and not with his command line (it's doubtful he set it to gametype 4 anyway)?

But anyway, have you tried the first recommendation?
"Your server may not even be running; try connecting to it on this computer: run /connect 127.0.0.1:27910 in console"

Have you tried that?

Yeah I have. I can join but e.g. my buddy can't join. I think  I  haven't forward my port correctly, because i don't know which ports and so on. Can u explain where can i find these "numbers".

You need to forward port 27910 using UDP as protocoll.

When you are running the server off your home computer, you need to forward the ports for YOUR internal IP.
Check your router configurations for that.

What router are you using / or no router at all?
