What do you want in a clan as a member?

If you are a leader what do you expect of members? What do you expect of yourself?

Honesty to my members
Good Leadership
Winning mentality
Dedication
Strve to get better

I expect the same from my members in return

I expect my members to try hard and to get better at the game
I expect them to respect everyone else in the game (sorry atmays for Bane's behavior during our match)
I expect myself to be a good example for people in the game, in or out of my clan
and I expect everyone in the DP community to not hack or cheat in any way

mays on the other hand realizes that with loyalty, honesty and dedication... skill will come. that's some clans problem. instead of teaching a descent polite person, they instead flame them, call them "noobs" and recruit the "skilled", big-headed rudest people.
as a member of a "clan" i expect people to show me respect no matter how skilled i am. i treat everyone in my clan the same. i laugh and have a good time.

agreed, people that show respect to everyone and understand mistakes. People bashing each other, no matter what skill level, will eventually lead to no cooperation on their parts. If for some reason DP disappeared, the number of wins would be forgotten, but the fun would be remembered.

My clan has been together for awhile now. We started as noobs. Look at us now. We can give any clan a run.

I say to all the new clans, get people you can work wit and build on that. Learn your clan mates. Wit time you can be one of the ELITE.

Not exactly what I expect of my clan, but here's what I expect of other clans. I expect them not to come on our channel and trash talk us just because we like to joke around and have fun in matches, m7. Just because you have the sense of humor of a tree doesn't mean we can't make the game a little more funny.

You can call it a sense of humor if you want but if people are messaging me afterward or in vent afterward talking about how much of a jerk you were acting like, then I say your fun must not be very fun.

The slightest downturn in score and people are insisting the person sub out. And fun or not, they often do sub.

The way you talk in game is precisely what I think clans should avoid. But that is just me. Maybe they like the fun of getting cut down for every mistake.

In any case, the reason I was in your channel was to see why Spawn left. He had told me he left but I hadn't gotten the whole story. I am not sure if any of the above mentioned practices had to do with him leaving because I have still not heard. But I was talking to Waggot about why I would leave if I were in your clan.

i just find it sorta funny... i could paste alot of the stuff that is wrote on irc or in-game but what is the point? everyone trash talks. i was just pointing out that you should be a little more selective on who gets recruited. but birds of a feather....
