The thing is:
QeHs and no-skillz match 2/3 times a day (always 4v4 or more, the other day was 7v7) and we NEVER play poor maps like shaz.
Plus QeHs usually picks roundup and today we picked encounter (ArenĀ“t those your maps? iAre they a shaz clone?) no-skillz usually picks maps like pbcup_renoir, c1 etc..
So when it comes to map picks the na clans are the ones to make fun of, sry. Clans like allstarz, ue, ur, ui, aeiou etc pick maps like pbcup, sandtrap, and worst.
So yeah, you were...err..........wrong.

The point of us is: You surely can go (try) grab when you're (2on1)/3on1/4on1 but TILL it comes to that point, you will be lining mid for 0.5 to 2 minutes. And that lining part gives the map a boring accent. It just needs a little tweaking and all would find the map great.

We don't call it lining (pretty sure that was a term the euros brought to this game), we're spraying, and we're also not stupid enough to walk into it every round.  It's also nice not to trade caps every round until a team hits 50, and requires a different strategy than just rush flag and build up your 3/5pt rounds.  eR33t was the first team to really dominate the two flag game, and we've influenced the game play on two flag maps for years.  Before we emerged people were barely double jumping.

This map has two flags (the one flag betas were pretty dry) and I think it has a nice change of pace without over-simplifying the map.  There's 2-3 ground to tower transitions and many spots to drop out of the tower to ground, once you get the hang of it the map's pretty fun.

I do not care what you call it.
You can call it shooting t the same spot, sitting on the same spot.
Besides as i said i don't think that map has a HUGE shooting at mid, sitting in base problem. But it clearly doesnt work for 5v5+ matches.
I just got pissed with 4tx post because if there are 2 clans in this game that dont play excrement maps like shaz, pbcup, pp1 24/7, those clans are QeHs and no-skillz.
As i said before i like this map, not good for 5v5+ though.(but I used to think sandtrap and pbcup were not good for 3v3+ and i see "top na clans" playing all the time so idk and idc...that was just so wrong 4tx.)

More mm2 drama than you can handle, people already had a field day with my GGL DPCup demos.

You're absolutely right, this map is definitely scaled for 3v3/4v4 matches.  Give pbcup_pforest a try as a 5v5+ map next time.

Not really sure how you got that? Just because he made a comment about the gameplay does not mean he wants to play poorly made pub maps.

(FtX your post is one of the reasons this thread has degraded.)

That just goes to show how much more advanced the gameplay is among top european teams than it is with north american teams.  CC and 20ID 4v4'd on it last night and there wasn't a huge problem with "lining" at all.  With the exception of a few angles, even when people are lining it's usually pretty easy to tell where they're shooting from.

(And the first sentence here is one more reason why this thead has degraded.)

We played a 4on4/5on5 on it , but sorry , the gameplay is horrible and the only thing what u can do is linning from one corner to next. U cant rush or something like that , because the linns will hit u

I haven't played this map yet, so I can't form a judgement on it, but you guys have let yourselves, and this map/thread down with your pettiness.

Yeah Fourthx and Xtremebain, stop degrading my maps jerks.

Maybe if you guys played with your eyes open for more than 3 seconds, you'd take one of several ways to avoid a stream of paint. Maybe if you had some kind of good old fashion teamwork, you'd have a teammate backing you up as you moved forward.

I agree with Fourthx, most people do want some sort of shazam remake. Thereby us trying to provide something different.

Speaking of shaz, when is shazam55 coming out, i can't wait. :P Anyways, the map looks good, 10x better then the original pbsanctuary, although, i did like the night sky, and the lamps in the original

I played it on one of my servers a few days ago. It's not bad, but it wouldn't be at the top of my favorite map list. Although it's technically two paths, it really feels like one because of the single vertical choke point.

Ok for me it's a 3on3 map.
Something i noticed: Is the sunny ground too bright? Or is it just me? In the 2nd screenshot you can see that my brightness is set right.

Let me correct that, I don't care who you are. My somewhat fatalistic statement was an echo of things other mappers have told me. They feel like people just want shaz33 over and over. Someone mentioning earlier in the thread that you can't just rush every round brought it to mind.

Hell it took 3-4 years before people would not cry when encounter was loaded up, now some people tell me they like the map alot. Same thing happened with roundup, it would empty a server when it was new because it was different.

It's called _sun_diffuse, it increases the light in the shadows. Also, try looking at it without overbright on.

This map is based around working together as a team. If you run in one at a time like newbies, with no one to back you up and cover you, you're going to lose more times than you win.

Also to comment on Bains post for "more advanced players" he is right, this map will turn into a spray fest because you don't move around. Just like all maps that are built around good gameplay.
